Hi and Welcome!
I’m Loren and I’m the slave to 3 Feline Overlords, as well as 3 am insomnia (but, the Felines definitely have the upper paw); and a worshiper of TEA as well as holistic wellness.
I wanted to share my love and passion with you, so I came up with this site, From Aroma to Zen. Which brings us to you getting to know me a little better…
I live in Washington State, but I am from South Florida. I so very much miss the sunshine and heat! It is still so very odd to me to see mountains instead of the horizon of sea and sky meeting. Washington has been my host for almost 17 years now. Happily, there are many tea shops around the area that I live in, so all is easily fixed!
I have so many interests that over time they have all grown dependent upon each other with a common theme – nature and taking care of others. I finally realized that it’s better to flow naturally instead of trying to force myself into a box that I just don’t fit in.
These are the three Feline Overlords that control my life. I wouldn’t trade a single moment with them for anything. I didn’t set out to have three cats, however, each of them came to me when in need.
I have always lived with cats since the day I was born. I resonate with them very much and enjoy their quiet nature.
Atticus came to me at 5 weeks old, due to a phone call from a friend. The neighbor cat had kittens and the husband came home from a truck drive and was not very happy and wanted them removed immediately. Atticus was mean to be a foster kitty and then move onto a permanent home, but he had other plans. His personality and loving nature made sure he was a keeper!
Gypsy was the only adoption from a pet store that I have ever done. We are lucky we do have a family owned pet store that does take unwanted kittens/puppies and will adopt them out for a fee and upon proof of spay/neuter, you do receive part of your adoption fee back. Gypsy is a tuxedo tortoiseshell and was adopted at Samhain (Halloween) due to some teenagers commenting that she would do since she is mostly black and they wouldn’t be able to get their hands on a black cat. I adopted her on the spot!
Henna, is the adopted feral kitten that I took in when she was 6 weeks old. Her colony lost their home on a farm due to being sold to developers who promised to remove the colony “one way or another”. I had plans for Henna to be a foster only, to get her used to humans and then adopt her out. But, she bonded to Atticus and the two are joined at the hip.
Holistic Wellness and Services
I’ve always been one in tune with Nature and animals my entire life. From rescuing a gopher turtle when I was 5 who came to visit ever year to lay her eggs, to the three Feline Overlords. I always try to help a plant when it’s been uprooted from something. Naturally, this caring just found its way to people as well.
Never turning away a friend, I found that talking things out with them I could usually come up with a different viewpoint and idea that would help them. Intuitively know when someone needs a phone call or a letter to check in with them.
I obtained my Reiki Level I and II certifications and am working towards my Reiki Master level. I have my certification as a Holistic Tarot Reader, with over 35 years experience, and am a Wellness Advocate with doTerra. I am also working on my certification in Crystal Healing, Chakra Healing, and Aromatherapy. I will then look to holistic dietary needs as well.
More about ME
I love to read, cook, listen to music and go for hikes. I am also a hobby photgrapher. In addition to all of this I also make clay essential oil diffuser neckalces/car fresheners, custom essential oil blends & perfumes, and dragon eggs (and some are candle holders!)
In addition to all of this, I am Celtic Wiccan and use my intuitive gifts in my Holistic Services and Reiki. I also make Rune Stones as well as custom candle holders and greeting cards from my photography.
I am so happy that you found me here, please feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or sign up for my monthly newsletter.
I am a very strong believer in taking a holistic approach to life, as much as that is possible. This may be one of the things that drew me to tea when I was very young. As I have grown and learned, I have added more holistic methods to guide and heal. This list includes:
- doTerra Essential Oils (I LOVE aromatherapy!)
- Crystal healing and therapy
- Chakra clearing and upkeep
- Tarot readings
